Gone Crazy...?

So I've decided to do something a little crazy. I really feel like my body needs a cleanse from the holidays and such but am scared to try the commercial, store bought cleaners.
In replacement of that, I have decided to try out a raw food diet. I know, completely crazy & totally out of the blue. If you know me at all you understand how much I love things like cheese, bread, & meat, not to mention wine & beer. :)
Originally, I thought I would say 30 days but then I came to my senses. So for one or two weeks, depending on how my first day goes, I am going to try the completely raw food diet. Yikes! That means none of my favorite things for two whole weeks potentially. Then after the two weeks is up, for the rest of the remaining days...until Feb. 16, which is 30 days. I will continue my detox in terms of my beverages only. Meaning, only water to drink with the exception of 1 glass of Crystal Lite per week (come on people, I'm only human :) but I can eat any food I wish.
I have found some great websites to help me out & hope that I can do it. I am worried about getting enough to eat to keep me full & give me the calories I need to be able to still run after Payton & exercise.
So the journey starts tomorrow morning...wish me luck!

Little Blessing

Here are just a few updated pictures of our Little Blessing.

Payton just HAD to have this adorable hat...she insisted.
(At least that is the story we told Daddy :)She is really big stuff now so she thinks it's okay for her to go up our VERY steep stairs all by herself.
That face has 'Naughty' written all over it!

4 Generations

Deuteronomy 7:9
Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; He is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands.

Pslam 100:5
For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Pslam 145:13
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made.

Bryan & I are blessed to be able to take four generation pictures on both sides of our family. We thank God for our wonderful Grandmothers. Myrick 4 GenerationsGenzink 4 Generations

For My Dad...Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Dad! I love you SO much.
Everything Dad
A little girl needs her Daddy
To love her with manly charm,
To soothe her when she's hurt,
And keep her safe from harm.
A girl needs her dad
To show her a man who's good,
To help her make right choices,
As only a father could.
A woman needs her father
Just to be aware,
He'll always be there for her,
To sustain her and to care.
You've been all these things, Dad.
I hope that you can see
How much I treasure you;
You mean everything to me.

My Prayer for 2010

This is my prayer for all of you, for every day, in 2010:

Make sure you pray, and pray believing God will answer.
May today be all you need it to be.
May the peace of God and the freshness of the Holy Spirit rest in your thoughts, rule in your dreams tonight, and conquer all your fears.
May God manifest himself today in ways you have never experienced.
May your joys be fulfilled, your dreams be closer, and your prayers be answered.
I pray that faith enters a new height for you; I pray that your territory is enlarged.
I pray for peace, healing, health, happiness, prosperity, joy, true and undying love for
God.
And Always Remember; God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage.
