Pumpkin Carving Party

Saturday night we headed over to the Eldean's new house for food & pumpkin carving. They have a perfect 'storage' room where we were all able to carve pumpkins in the warmth.

Last Sunday was nice enough to take a Jeep trip to the beach with the Garvelinks.
Thanks again Papa for letting us use your Jeep. We love it!

Hayride & Pumpkin Patch

Last Saturday night we had our, I believe, 3rd annual hayride & pumpkin pickin' at the Slenk's. This year was extra special however because all the Daddys came too! We started off with a hayride then Payton & Charley both were able to pick their perfect pumpkin. After we headed back to the Becksvoort's for some play time & pizza. Payton had a blast running around in the dark with flashlights with all the other kids. I know she will be asking when we can do it again.

Big Baby!

On Wed. I had a follow up ultrasound to recheck baby's heart and size. Baby seems to have a 'bright spot' in his/her heart. This could be a number of things. More than likely it is a protein build up which will probably result in a murmur of some sorts but could just be the ultrasound waves reflecting funny which would mean it is nothing. My doctor says it is nothing to be too concerned about but they did want to recheck it. We will just wait and see once baby is born. Charley had a small murmur too so we are praying it is nothing but if it is a murmur we will deal with that when we need to.
They also rechecked baby's size...because baby was measuring 2 weeks ahead at 20 weeks. Well, baby is still big! Now baby is measuring 3 weeks ahead with a potential weight of 3 lb 7 oz. :) We don't like tiny babies at our house. :) Baby's head is what is tilting it more toward the 3 week mark, belly is about a week ahead & legs are about right on. This is the way both Charley & Payton were too so I am not too concerned about having a child with an over-sized head. As far as belly to legs go...Bryan & I just call it 60/40. If you look at Charley you will know what I mean. :) Needless to say I think from now on I am just going to go with the due date of January 4. Although officially it is not changed I feel like it's more accurate then then 10th. (I will probably still go with the 10th for pics because I just don't want to have to change all the weeks from the previous pics :)
With that said, here is the 28 week pictures. I think I 'popped' since 26 weeks. Sorry the 28 week pics of Payton & Charley are so awful. I don't know what happened there.
Oh, ps...baby's heart rate was 160. (At 24 weeks it was 158 & at 20 weeks it was 138...all over the board)

October Boat Ride/s

Because of the beautiful weather we have had over the past week Payton & Daddy have been able to get in some quality time by taking out our/"Payton's" :) boat. She absolutely has loved it.The first trip out was really exciting because Ava & Uncle Wookie went along.Last ride of the season.
She was disappointed the boat had to be put away.

Trip to Game #3 - Go Tigers!!

Last night Bryan & I got the chance to go to Detroit and see game three of the ALCS (American League Championship Series...for those who need that clarification.) We had a great time. Bryan had never been to Comerica Park and it has been about 10 years since I had been. We are really just 'fair weather' baseball fans, meaning we really only watch during the playoffs so going to a game during season has never really appealed to either of us. It was the perfect night for a baseball game, not too hot, not too cold & the Tigers won! :)Aretha Franklin sang the National Anthem to start the gameI didn't realize Ford Field was so close to Comerica Park...I think I could have spit & hit it from where this picture was taken. I was so disappointed because Bryan's phone died before we got a picture of the two of us. :( Thanks to the guy sitting next to us for taking our pic with his phone and texting it to us!
