And He Walks!

It's officially official, Charley can walk!
I am so proud of my big boy...and he is quite proud of himself. :)
We were at Heather & Mark's tonight to celebrate Ava's birthday and Charley decided to show off by walking almost every where he went...after a little encouragement from his cousins of course. But he is walking by himself and being as cute as ever doing it.
I will post video soon.
Good job Little Buddy! I love you so much & am very proud of your big accomplishment.

5 Years!

Five Years ago today I was lucky enough to marry my wonderful, loving husband. He has been a wonderful husband and father over the past 5 years and I love him more every day.
Hard to believe that in five years we have 2.5 kids and I have been pregnant for almost 3 of them...heheh.

Party for a Princess

Payton had a fun filled 3rd Birthday. The morning started off as normal but because it was her special day she got to choose what she wanted to wear and what she wanted for breakfast. She told me she didn't want to wear anything & she wanted pancakes for breakfast. I thought for sure she would want to wear a 'Pretty Dress' or just something crazy but never did I think she would say 'nothing'. Well, I did not let her go completely nakey biscuits so she was required to wear at least her panties for the morning. Silly girl. Very unexpected. The other unexpected answer was pancakes. Now she loves pancakes but when given a choice of ANY thing I thought she would say ice cream or macaroni but she really wanted pancakes so pancakes she got.
Daddy took the day off of work to spend with the birthday girl so because the weather wasn't great we decided to go to Chuck E. Cheese for lunch. We met Uncle Wookie, Ava, Aunt Becky, Hannah & Noah there. The place is always a hit and it was no different this time. She had fun with all her cousins. (ps...she did choose to wear a 'pretty dress' there...Nakey buns was not an option :)

In the evening we headed over to Papa & Amma's for the big party with the whole family. Payton's birthday party theme this year was fairy princess. There was a lot of fluff & sparkle. She loved it! (I had fun decorating too:)

3 Year Old Princess

Payton Renay -
Three years ago my definition of love changed at the very first sight of you. Never before had I felt instant, unconditional love for someone. Ever since that moment you have wrapped yourself around my heart more every day. I just have to smile at even the thought of you. You make each day bright and every one if different because of you. I love it and cherish these days when I have you home with me. I love watching you learn new things and you never cease to amaze me with what you know & what you say.
Here are some of the things you have been up to lately.
Activities: You have really become a good swimmer over the past few months. Still need your swimmies but are really good around the water. You are also really good at riding your bike. We just raised your training wheels and hope to get you to ride by yourself by next summer. Thanks to Papa's barn this is possible.
Play: You have very into ponies & horses. My Little Ponies are what you play with most. You have also just gotten into Barbie. You like the ones that look like princesses. You love to play outside. Swimming, biking, and sidewalk chalk are all favorites as well as taking bike rides with Daddy in the burly. You also love throwing the ball with Chester, although this usually turns out to be you chasing after him because he does not give up the ball easily.
Cloths: You are wearing mostly 3T stuff right now but pants are getting short so you are slowly moving into 4T stuff. You are potty trained except for nap time & night time. We are really going to be working on keeping you dry while you sleep so you will be out of pull-ups completely by the time new baby brother or baby sister joins our family in January.
Sleeping: You are still napping in the afternoon. Usually from 2 until about 3:30 or 4 o'clock. Bed time is a little bit of a struggle. You go to bed between 8 and 8:30 but often are awake until 10. You just sit in your room and talk to yourself for the most part. So we just let you chill out in there. There are some nights that you cry but for the most part you are just awake. If I cut out your nap it would probably take care of this but I really think you need the rest in the middle of the day yet. So for now we will deal with the chatting at night. As of right now you still have your bop. The Bop Fairy is coming this week however so we will see how that goes. I'm sure there will be tears but the Bop Fairy will be leaving a gift so hopefully that will help. :)
Favorite Foods: Well, you love juice. Does this count as a food? You would take it over food I am pretty sure. As for actual food, you really like macaroni & cheese, peanut butter & jelly sandwiches and pancakes. You like to snack on grapes, 'red berries' aka strawberries, yogurt & pudding as well as fruit snacks. There is nothing you really don't like to be honest. There have been a few things you don't want to eat at on particular moment but nothing you really just plain don't like.
Cute Sayings from the year:

11 Months

Charley is 1 month away from being one and I just can not believe it.

Charley,
Activities: You are not walking yet but are getting so close. You walked across the room the other day all by yourself so we are sure you will be up and at em in the next few weeks.
Play: You are getting into everything! I think at this point your favorite toy is whatever one Payton is playing with at that moment. You do like the Fisher Price barn with animals as well as the Fisher Price musical bus. You dance along to the music which is really funny. You also love to turn the TV on and off...which is not a fun game for anyone else but you.
Cloths: Still in the 12 months stuff so nothing has changed with that. Diapers are size 4. I know you will be in these for a long time because they are still a little big on you.
Sleeping: You have been starting your day around 8 am these days. No longer waking up for the early bottle. This means you get a little break from the teething thing. Mommy is happy about that. I was started to feel really bad for you. Still taking two naps. The morning nap is still the same time but is now only about an hour. Afternoon nap is now about 2.5 hours which works out well. Bedtime is usually around 8 o'clock and by that time you don't fuzz usually and go right to sleep.
Other Big Happenings: You are at a total of 8 teeth. 4 on top & 4 on the bottom.
Eating: Breakfast is either pancakes, waffles, fruit loops, or toast with fruit baby food to go with it and a sippy cup of milk to finish it all off. Lunch is the same as it has been...kind of whatever we have in the house. You are still taking an 8 oz bottle before your afternoon nap. For dinner you have either what we are having or something similar to lunch. To round out the day you have another 8 oz bottle right before bed.

Bye Bye Shaggy Hair

Thursday I finally took Charley to Great Clips and got his shaggy hair cut. He looks a lot better. He did really well and didn't even cry. A younger girl cut it so he basically just 'flirted' with her the whole time...Typical & just like Daddy. :)Before: Mr. Shaggy
After: Handsome

Payton of course needed to have her hair done too. Ms. Taylor was nice enough to put it in a ponytail for her. Thanks Ms. Taylor!
