Lighted Bath

This idea again came from Pinterest. Yes world, I love Pinterest! I did mix it up just a bit however. The pin on Pinterest was a bath with glow sticks but a friend of mine suggested submersible LED lights. This way they last for more than one tub. It was a hit and we have used them numerous times since we bought them. Highly suggest it.

Magic Nuudles

A friend of mine told me about these a while back. They are called Magic Nuudles. They provide lots of mess free fun. Plus they are inexpensive...bonus! I found them at Hobby Lobby.

Busy Mom's Blog Post

The blogging has not been the best lately I know but hey, I've been busy...imagine that! :) So here is my busy mom's blog post... just a few pictures of my kiddos over the past few weeks. Payton 'making' her Valentine's for school. She colored and put stickers on eat one. So very cute & sweet.
Silly Shades Sunday. What a bunch of goof balls.
Super goofy
Payton watching a movie in bed. This was a big deal.
Random twin cuteness.
Chillin' and textin'
Being a good big brother & giving baby brother his bop...even though he didn't really want it. :)
Adorable face.
Another adorable face.

Oh, and one more. :)
Playing with Grant.

Charley loves his shoes so he even wants to wear them with his jammies.

Going to play outside.
Brotherly love

Puff Paint

Homemade puff paint was another Pinterest project we took on. This again was very easy to make and lots of fun to do. This was a 'Payton Only' project because I can only imagine the mess Charley would make trying to do this one. It takes a while to dry and Payton likes to put A LOT in one spot taking it even longer to dry but it was still fun, even if we couldn't hang it on the fridge. :)

Saving Cream Paint

Thanks again to Pinterest for this great bath time activity. Once again, very simple and lots of fun. It's Shaving Cream Paint. Put shaving cream into a muffin tin, add washable tempra paint, stir and you've just created hours of bath time fun. I gave my kiddos the foam paint brushes and let them 'paint' to their hearts content.

Tip: A little goes a long way!

Rainbow Rice

I have been feeling a little guilty lately over how many movies my children have been watching. While I have been adjusting to life with three children it has been the easiest activity for the two older ones to do. So I decided to check out my Pinterest boards and take a little trip to the craft store.
The first thing we did...Rainbow Rice!
Wow is this a fun activity for little ones. At least my kiddos loved it. They played for an hour without fighting...ok, with minimal fighting. :) It was really easy to create too. So it was a little messy (because Charley throws things) but nothing the vacuum can't handle.Tips:
I used a 20lb bag of rice from Meijer ($12.99) and did a double batch for each color (8 cups rice, 6T rubbing alcohol, just a few drops...aprox. 3... of food coloring)
I also suggest to let the rice air out for 24 hours in a cool dry place before playing otherwise your house will smell strongly of rubbing alcohol. :)

Prayer for My Sons

This is so awesome! I will be posting this by my bedside.
(Prayer for my daughter as well. :)

A Prayer for my Son

Almighty God,
Watch over my child.

In an age of violence, teach him peace.
Fill his soul with harmony rather than discord.
Protect him from injury, harm and sudden death at the hands of others.

Watch over my child, dear Lord.
In an age of materialism, selfishness, and greed,
Let him see beyond the things of this world so that he may see a glimpse of things spiritual.
Let him value others above himself.
Let him seek wisdom above wealth.

Watch over my child, dear Lord.
In an age of lust, let him know love.
In an age of gratification, let him know restraint.
Keep him sexually chaste and self controlled.

Watch over my child, dear Lord.
As he grows, guide him.
As he stumbles, hold him.
In his times of anger, love him.
In his times of fear, touch him.
In his times of foolishness, teach him.
When he strays from your path, retrieve your lost sheep.

Watch over my child, dear Lord.
Do not grant all the desires of his heart,
But grant all the needs of his soul.
Let him know sacrifice and discipline
So that he may know strength and faith.
As gold is placed in fire to be refined,
Give my child pain and suffering
So that he may lose those things in his heart and mind that are harmful to his soul.

Watch over my child, dear Lord.
Give him love for the beauty of the world you have made.
Give him love for the family and friends.
Give him love for the stranger in his midst.
And above all, give him love for you,
That he may know you,
Serve you,
And glorify you.

Watch over my child, dear Lord.
Forgive his parents when they have failed in the nurture of this child,
And quiet their worries and fears.
May they, trusting in your love for their child,
find rest and peace in the knowledge that you are with him.

Amen.

They Are Here!

My nieces finally arrived yesterday afternoon!
Welcome to our family Harper Mary & Grace Margaret!
Heather went in to be induced at 7 am and the girls arrived via c-section at 4:19 pm and 4:20 pm. Harper made her grand entrance first even though she was baby 'b' and should have came second. Being the smaller of the two, at 6 lb even, she must have pushed her sister aside on purpose so she could be the 'older' sister. Grace weighed in at 6 lb 5 oz.
Both girls are healthy & beautiful. Love them so much already.White hat: Harper, Pink Hat: Grace
