Wedding Day

It's official, I have another brother!
Heather & Mark got married on Saturday afternoon at Christ Memorial church. It was a really fun day. They were both so happy and are very much in love.
The day started out at 9 am for Heather, Ava, Sarah, Kylie and I at Body Perfections for some updo's. From there I ran to Zeeland Hospital to meet my friend Jodi's new baby boy, Dexter...they live in GR so I wanted to get to the hospital before they went home. He is adorable and I am so glad I got to meet him. Anyway, from there I went to get Heather 'something blue'. I knew I wanted to get her a ring and the one that I go her was more beautiful then I expected I could get on my very limited budget. After that I quickly ran home to help get Payton in bed for her very early nap then it was off to the church. We were able to just relax and hang out for a while before we had to be dressed and ready for pictures which was good. Payton arrived at 1:30 and she was dressed with hair done for pictures by 2...and yes, I tamed her hair! We are going to get her a life time supply of 'Big Sexy Hair', the stuff works wonders! Pictures went really quick which was great because of all the kids involved. The ceremony started on time at 4:00 and by 4:32 they were pronounced husband & wife. Again the kids did so well. Payton didn't even flinch about walking down the isle and she sat like an angel during the ceremony. So proud of her!
The adults of the wedding party got to enjoy some time at the barn between the ceremony and reception. It was a great way to unwind after the ceremony and get geared up for the reception.
The receptions was a blast. The kids were so great and so fun to watch. It was decorated beautifully and the food was wonderful. Payton was a dancing queen. She loved it! I was pleasantly surprised at how good she was the entire day.
It was a great day and I think it is safe to say everyone had a great time.
I don't have a ton of pictures but am working on getting more so stand by for those.

I was unware of my new brother-in-laws singing talent but have to say I was impressed.
He's the one singing the back up vocals by the way.
If anyone who was at the wedding has the full song on video I would love to get that from you.

Payton the Potty Princess

I think it is safe to say Payton is officially potty trained! I could not be more happy. It took a while but she's got it. The Garvelink's let us borrow Adi's 'little potty' which was the ticket. She loved the fact that she did not have to leave what she was doing...such as playing in her play room...to go potty. She's a very busy girl and potty time was just getting in the way. She is still in Pull-ups when we go out to a public place and at night and nap but I'll take it.
Yet another thing that screams big girl.
Next step, get rid of the bop...aka pacifier. :)

Be My Valentine

Gifts from Papa
Every year my dad gets Valentine's gifts for all his girls. This year was no different. Payton got a singing Alvin & the Chipmunks card, a stuffed lady bug 'backpack' filled with skittles & candy hearts (not really a backpack but that is what she calls it), and a cool light up heart cup. Mommy also got a special gift...a Visa gift card! Whoot Whoot...love it!
Thanks Papa! We Love you!Gifts From Mimi & Dampa
The kids also got gifts from Mimi & Dampa. Payton got a basket of goodies; more candy hearts, a candy heart stuffed pillow and a pink stuffed monkey...? I think it is a monkey at least. Charley got the same type of stuffed animal but his is a tiger. He likes it because it has long arms and light weight so it is easy to hang onto.
Thank you Mimi & Dampa! We love you!!"What did you get Payton?"Gifts for Daddy
Daddy got home made cards from Payton & Charley and Mommy. It was a great activity for the day and Payton had so much fun. She was very proud of her work.
Can you tell which one Payton made? :)Gifts for Mommy
And yes, Daddy got Mommy a dozen pink roses. Technically they are from Payton too because she picked them out. Very sweet.
Thank you Bryan and Payton! I love you!

Heather's Bachelorette Party

The wedding day is fast approaching so this past Saturday the girls were able to go out on the town and celebrate with Heather. The day was full of activities however because of our recent vacation Bryan had to work until 4 on Saturday which caused me to miss most of the day. The evening events were a lot of fun. It was Sarah's house for a few drinks, lite appetizers and a few gifts. Then a surprise limo showed up and drove us to GR where we went to The Woods for dinner. A short walk after that lead us to the Intersection for Mega 80's...Heather's request. It was a lot of fun. I think everyone really enjoyed themselves. Part of the wedding party

5 Months

Charley Garyson,
There have been lots of big changes with you over the past week or so with more changes to come in the next week. It is crazy how much you are growing and developing at such a fast pace all of a sudden.
Activities: You are now sitting up and rolling over. Your belly laughing is the cutest thing. It mainly happens when you are playing with Daddy or watching Payton. Mommy usually just gets big smiles. Your personality is very laid back and easy going. You love to watch your surroundings.
Play: You enjoy your saucer much more now then you did before. You are starting to figure how to make everything work and play music. Sitting up you are still a little wobbly so it's not your favorite way to play yet but I expect that to change quickly and can't wait until it does.
Cloths: Six month clothing is still what you wear but the 'one-piece' outfits are starting to get a little short but not enough for me to move you up a size. Diaper size is now 2-3. I didn't even know this was a size until I ordered them from Amazon. They are pampers, I just didn't know this was a size.
Sleeping: Your sleeping habits are a bit off. You were sleeping great from about 8 or 8:30 pm to 7:30/8 am. However, I believe you have been going through a growth spirt because I have been having to dream feed you before I got to bed around 11 pm to get you to sleep through the night. If I don't you are wanting to eat around 4:30/5 am. I am hoping this is a short phase. Naps are getting a little trickier too. You take about an hour to hour and a half nap around 10 am. Then you nap again in the afternoon at around 2 pm for an hour and a half to two hours. It's not your favorite thing to nap in your crib...I have created this by letting you sleep on the couch by me...but now that you are rolling this is a problem so we are working on the napping.
Eating: You get both breast and bottle still. When I dream feed you it's breast and your first morning feeding after you get up is breast also. The rest are all 6 to 8 oz bottles. Usually you eat at 8 am, 12 pm, 4 pm, and 8 pm. Next week we are going to start you on rice cereal and shortly after will start baby food. I can't wait for this because I think you are really going to like it.

You continue to be such a blessing. We love you very much.

Rock & Roll

He's on a roll! Yup, Charley started rolling yesterday (of course when we are gone he does it for the first time). Front to back AND back to front! Today he's been rolling all over. He just laughs at himself. What a little dude.
He also has started to sit up last Thursday (2/3). He is still a little unsteady but is getting better everyday. Having him be able to sit on his own is something I have been looking forward to. I feel like he feels left out when he is laying down.
I can't believe he is growing up so fast.

Time Away

Bryan & I were fortunate enough to be able to take a little time away this past week with some good friends. We had a wonderful time. It was nice to have some time without the kids and be able to enjoy Mom & Dad's condo with just adults once again. The time away will make me a better mom.
Even though we had a wonderful time I am glad to be back home with my kiddos. Payton gave me the longest hug ever when I got home last night (15 min...no joke) it was so great.Payton with her souvenir sunglasses Mommy & Daddy brought back for her.
