Our Elf Chip

After hearing a small knock on the door our kids raced to see 'who' could be there. What did they find? A small box wrapped in red & white and a white envelop with all three of their names written on the front.
What could this be? Who could it be from? Nothing like this has ever shown up on our door step before...
Upon further inspection it was clear this was a gift from Santa!
With much excitement they listened as I read them the letter. (I stole the idea from this blog:)
They opened the box to find our new little friend.
Santa also left another gift. A book. This was our new friend's way of letting us know a little more about why he was here and what we needed to do.
First thing...we needed to name him.
C's first suggestion, Chip. Done!
The book explained how Chip will report back to Santa each night and in the morning the kids had to find him.
For now he sits on our windowsill by the stockings.
I wonder where he will be in the morning...?? :)

Bryan & I might be more excited about this then they are at this point but they are going to love it. I know it.

1 Monster, 2 Monster, A Mermaid Makes 3

Halloween 2013
P & G at Mimi & Grandpa's. C was not happy at this point and chose not to be in the picture...or get out of the car for that matter. :)
This year instead of a bunch of candy Amma & Papa decided to get the kids books. It was a huge hit. The kids thought it was great.
C got 'The Little Blue Truck' by Alice Schertle
P's book was "Fancy Nancy and the Fabulous Fastion Boutique" by Jane O'Connor
G is a 'book man' and got "First 100 Machines" by Roger Priddy
C was so excited he couldn't wait to read his.
Bryan & I and our crew.
Love these little faces!!

After going to the grandparent's we went to Potts' for some very wet, cold and short trick or treating followed by some yummy food.

Fall Pictures - Family, Kids, the whole gang

Here are some family pics we had taken this fall.
I took the kids to Crane's to pick apples and borrowed Heather's camera. I think they turned out cute so here are a few of my favs.

I also wanted to take some on our land. These didn't turn out like I wanted but it was worth a shot.

We finally got the whole Myrick families taken. My cousin Misty was kind enough to come out and deal with my crabby little boys yet managed to still get some great shots.
