3 Schooler

We enrolled Payton in 3 school today! It's a little late but due to of some complications with the Bible Study Fellowship children's program we decided it would be best to get her into a real school environment because she loves going to 'school' so much. She will be going to Holland Christian Monday's & Thursday's and her teacher is Mrs. Van Dyken. When we went to enroll today she was able to see her classroom and was disappointed when I told her she would have to wait a few days to actually go to school. Her friend Griffin will be in her class as well which she is also very excited about.
We can not wait until Thursday which will be her official first day.
I will post all about it on Thursday.

Wild One Party

Charley's jungle themed first birthday party was a success. He loved all the action that was going on and was a really good boy. We were able to have it at the barn & we blessed to have not only family there but a few friends as well.
Thanks to everyone who was able to come and share his special day!

The Big 1

Sweet Charley Garyson,
Well Little Buddy, I can't believe you are one today. My oh my how the time has flown by. You have been such a source of joy and laughter over the past year and I have loved every minute of it. It seems like only yesterday I heard Daddy say, "It looks like...a BOY!" :) You stole my heart from the moment you took your first breathe and have worked your way deeper and deeper into it every day since.
It is sometimes hard to discipline you because when you do something naughty you have this adorable, mischievous smile on your face. You know this gets Mommy and you use it to your advantage as much as possible...I am such a sucker sometimes but honestly...it's adorable!

Activities: You WALK! You started about a week & a half ago. I love watching you toddle all over the place. Most of the time you are giggling along the way because you know you are such a hotshot. It's still the bow legged, arms in the air walk but that is what makes it so fun to watch. You are getting to the point you would rather walk somewhere then crawl. So fun.
Play: Throwing things is what you like best so we try to give you balls as much as possible but you will throw anything in your hands. You also have really gotten into matchbox cars and toy cars in general. But steering wheels I think have to be your favorite. You love sitting in Daddy or Mommy's car behind the wheel. You would 'drive' all day. The Cozy Coupe is another favorite as well as the Barbie Jeeps at the barn. You can't drive them yet but you just sit and play with the wheel and open & close the doors.
Cloths: You can wear both 12 months & 18 months. The weather is turning colder & most of your fall/winter clothes are 18 months but 12 month stuff still fits. Especially pants. As for diapers...yup, still 4's.
Sleeping: You are once again waking up early for that bottle...meaning, more teeth. Sorry buddy, it will be over soon. You are sleeping after that until about 8 am. Take a morning nap around 10/10:30 until about noon then another afternoon nap around 2 until about 4. You are a good sleeper and definitly still need both napes. Without the morning nap your afternoon one isn't very good. I know that sounds a little strange but it's true. Bed time is at 8 pm and you go down like a champ. You hardly ever make a peep once you are in bed...very unlike Payton when she was your age.
Eating: Breakfast is the same as always as well as Lunch. Instead of a formula bottle before your afternoon nap you are now getting about 6 oz of warm whole milk. You like it just as well and it gets you through your nap. For dinner you have either what we are having or something similar to lunch. At bed you are still getting an 8 oz formula bottle.

Well Honey Bunny, like I said, I can't believe you are one year old. God has been so good. I continue to pray you grow up to know and love Jesus with all your heart and strive to be more like Him each day. I can't thank him enough for the gift He has given me in you.
Love you so much Charley Bear!!!
Lots of hugs & kisses,
Mommy
(Daddy, Payton & Baby too)

The Bop Fairy

Payton got a visit from the Bop Fairy.
While Payton & Daddy were outside playing the Bop Fairy came and took Payton's bop to give to a baby in need of one and left her with a princess Barbie doll and a new pair of jammie. It was a very big deal.
I have to admit I thought there would be a lot of tears and a very long night for Mommy & Daddy but boy was I wrong! Not one tear was shed. She saw the Fairy had come and just excepted the fact that her bop was gone but she had a cool princess in return. It was a good trade for her. She even said, "I don't need that bop Mom." Well, ok then. I guess I had a lot of anxiety about it for nothing.
