Celebrating the Life of GG

After 92 (almost 93) years of life on this earth God called GG home to heaven on August 19, 2013. She was a little lady with a lot of heart and a lot of spunk. Her love for us all will never be forgotten. We will miss her dearly but rejoice in the truth that our goodbye is not forever but just for now.
We love you Grandma Myrick!
We love you GG!

A Visit from the Bop Fairy

After a night of fun with friends (the hay ride), C came home to find he had had a visit from the Bop Fairy. She came and took all his bops to babies who needed them and left him some really cool stuff. A new dinosaur, new dinosaur pj's, and a note explaining what she had taken and why. He was very excited about his new stuff...until he was ready to go to bed. He told me he wanted to give the dinosaur back so the bop fairy would return his bop. :) But... after about 20 minutes he was quiet. Then G threw his blankets out of the crib and started calling for me so I ran up there to put them back in...thinking C was asleep, he wasn't so he ended up crying for another 20 minutes or so but considering, it wasn't a bad first night. Hopefully tomorrow will go ok and naptime will be ok too. :-/
Excited about his new stuff
Wish I could say he was this excited when it came to actually going to bed without it...not so much the case.

Hay Ride

I can't even tell you how many years we have been invited to the Becksvoorts for a hay ride and dinner and such but it has been many. This year we again got to go and hang out with good friends and enjoy a fall night.
The kids love it and run around like crazy. It makes for a great night and a really good bedtime. :)
The kids. Yup, we are even missing 10 from the group. Think we need a bigger wagon. :)
When all the moms started talking about taking a pic this is how P posed. Isn't she the cutest?!

Ava & P.
C didn't want to go, or have his picture taken, or do anything but cry for a bit. Fun! :-P
G's face while we were going down the road. Not quite sure what to think. Right after this he crawled into my lap and snuggled there. (As you can imagine I hated every second of it (insert sarcasm here):-)

Me & Little

Much happier after the ride
The kids and dad's did some water bottle rockets. P was excited about pulling the release.
C was even more excited. This face is MUCH cuter than the crying face above.

John Deere Party

To honor our middle man we throw a backyard John Deere party with the fam. Simple but sweet...just like my boy.
We got out the quads and three wheeler and let everyone fly around on those, served up some hotdogs, chili, and cake, opened some gifts and called it a night. It was perfect.

Gracey poo poo & Harper boo boo. (In that order:)
My birthday boy

We put off the party until we knew Aunt Heather would be able to make it! Yippy!!

Hannah Grace is growing up too fast.

Even Mimi took a three wheeler ride.
Excited to get to opening these.

He is so expressive.  He liked his Flashlight Friend from P & G.
Little brother was excited about his gifts too. Tow truck from Mommy & Daddy.

So much so that this is the face he made after no one would take the truck out of the box for him.
Firetruck from Amma & Papa
Ava reading him his cards.
P even got to open a gift from Auntie J and Mimi. We didn't have an official party for her with the Myrick fam so they just brought her gift along. She liked it, can you tell?
New scooter from Auntie J, Mimi & Grandpa
Cake Time. Hope all your wishes come true!

Labor Day Weekend at the Boathouse

We spent Labor Day weekend at the Boathouse with friends. It was a nice way to put my worries at bay about Heather and enjoy some family time away from the hospital. It was just for the weekend but it was the perfect amount of time to relax and get the most of the 'last weekend of summer'. (Who knew we would have 75 degree weather on October 12!)
I didn't take a lot of pictures but here are a few.
P & Adi. Best Buds

Me and my girl Tiff

Thanks to 'Uncle Will' for going swimming so Tiff & I didn't have to. :)

We had a few boats there...We're not spoiled at ALL!
Every Labor Day Holland has a truck parade and we try to go every year with the in-laws.

Kisses for Auntie J.

Kisses for Daddy
Not a great family picture but a family picture none the less. Oh and yes, G is picking his nose. Ha!
