Bike Ridin'

One of the major 'to do's of our summer was to get P to ride her bike. She has been working on it for some time but hasn't quite gotten it so daddy worked with her for a bit and she got it! Now she is a bike riding machine. She loves it and has even biked with us all the way to Mimi & Grandpa's house.
(Pictures to come)

Saying Goodbye to Young 5's

P had another great year of school. I am so thankful for the district she is in, for the teachers and staff in her building and for the friends she is making. She grew in knowledge of her world, of her God and built relationships that I pray will continue to grow through the years.
It was sad to say goodbye to her teacher and class but she is looking forward to what lies ahead in the fall.

Stop & Smell the Tulips - 2014

I say it every year but I will say it again...for good measure...Tulip Time is one of my favorite times of the year. There is so much activity and excitement around town. What's not to love.
This year was fun. My mother-in-law made the boys costumes to match mine! They were A.DOR.A.BLE!
We turned quite a few heads while walking the streets as well and of course P is always a show stopper because she is my 'pose for any one's picture' girl.
P & C also had their first experience riding IN the parade. We were able to ride on the HC preschool float. Although it was a little hot we had fun and it was a new experience for both which is always fun.
Here are a few pics from the year.
Waiting on the float for the parade to start.

I dance in a group with my cousin Misty. Love that I get to do fun stuff like this with family.
Me & my "mini me's"! Too fun.

Who doesn't need a bag of cotton candy the size of their entire body??

Watching the parade in style with Papa.
This parade watching stuff is exhausting!

In the parade riding past the bus!

Little Bryan...oh wait, Grant

My mother-in-law saved a few outfits from when Bryan was a babe. I never got them on Charley so I had to put them on G before he got too big. So Cute!

Little Bugger = Big Bed

Wee man got a bed makeover last week. (2nd Week of May 2014) A few days after moving into the basement, therefore moving into a room with both of his siblings, G figured out how to climb out of his crib. I know all who know him are super shocked that he is the one to be the first to do this (insert sarcasm here). I can't however blame it 100% on him because it was not his idea. His big sister did a little coaxing and encouraging.
After getting out the first night about 6 times and running into the living room laughing, getting into trouble...and laughing. I knew something had to be done. A pow wow with friends led me to the conclusion he needed a toddler bed.
So that is what happened. I simply took the front rail of his crib off and put on a bed rail and Voila!
A big boy bed!
By some miracle he actually stays in it too. :)

Moving Out, Moving on, Moving up

Dear White House with the Red Door;
I fell in love with you long before I ever stepped through your front door. You were the house I always dreamed about living in. It was your charm that drew me to you. Who wouldn't love the white house with the red door?
You became my dream home after Bryan & I got engaged and our dream of owning you became reality. We added our own personal touches and were in love.
You were the house we came home to after our honeymoon.
You were the house we brought our babies home to.
You were home.
You have left us with so many memories, laughter and good times.
It was hard to say goodbye
 But we move onward.
We look forward to new memories, to new adventures in the House at the End of the Cul De Sac.
In a house we are building as a family that we will fill with the same love you were filled with.
We love you little white house!
Thanks for the memories.
Thanks for being our house.
Thanks for letting us make you home.

Play Toys

One of my all time favorite things to do is sit and watch my children 'play toys'. I love listening to the conversations they have with each other, with themselves and with their toys. It does my heart so good. I know that all too quickly they will not want to play toys so these moments will be held close to my heart.
