When You Think Tim McGraw...

Yet again another great country concert in the books.
Last night my sisters, Karen M. and I went to the Tim McGraw concert featuring Lady Antebellum and it was awesome. Lady Antebellum was fantastic and Tim McGraw...well, he's TIM MCGRAW people! Needless to say we had a great time. No front row seats or backstage passes like our last concert but still a really good time.

September 2010!
Yup...it's true! We are expecting our second little one in September. It hardly seems real yet because we have kept it a secret for so long. Now I am ready to shout it from the roof tops. With Payton we told everyone at 7 weeks but we have waited until 10 weeks with this one. It has been a very long 3 weeks. :)
My due date is September 16 so I'm sure baby will arrive after that...just like big sister Payton. The big question I have been getting is 'are you going to find out what it is?'. The answer to that is NO. I know, I know, it's very unlike me but I really want to know what it is like to have it be a surprise til the end. Bryan is a little unsure of this waiting thing but he is going along with it because he knows it is what I want...what a good man. I had an ultrasound at 8 weeks (just what my OB does) and Bryan asked on the phone later if it looked like a boy so I'm thinkin'... he would like a boy. :)
I am feeling better these days. It has been a little rough this time around. Not sure if it is just the different pregnancy or if it is because my environment is different that it is just more noticeable. I was working full time with P so I was more distracted. If I eat I m ok but I am constantly eating. The scale is not my friend right now.
I made the shirts we are wearing to tell our families. Some people in the family got it a LOT quicker then others...those who shall remain nameless.
Anyway, that is our very exciting news.

This week a Gallup Poll was released which showed Holland MI as the 2nd happiest place to live in America. Only Bolder Colorado ranked higher.

ABC World News with Diane Sawyer featured Holland on the national newscast aired February 17, 2010. ABC affiliate WZZM Grand Rapids MI also did a piece. Both pieces featured video from Holland's Hometown Station 1450 WHTC and Talk of the Town Host Juke Van Oss.

Van Oss was inducted into the Michigan Broadcasters Hall of Fame in July 2009 http://michmab.com/awards/awards_hof.html.

Holland Mayor Kurt Dykstra guided the crews from the ABC Television Network and ABC affliliate WZZM Grand Rapids and chose WHTC as one of the places (and the only radio station) the crews needed to visit to get the story on Holland.

Indoor & Outdoor Winter Fun

We have to keep ourselves busy these days...because Payton is BUSY... and with the weather being as it is sometimes it's trickier then it should be. So here are some of the activities we have been doing.

Payton LOVES to play outside. We have been going to my dad's barn during the day so Chester & Payton can both get the wiggles out.Another favorite activity is piling up all the living room pillows as well as some from the spare room at the end of the foot stool and 1-2-3 jumping into them. This causes the hair to stand on end which I think is extremely cute. She even counts, it's adorable.The pool is of course another hot spot. The other day Adi & 'Aunt' Mary joined us which Payton thought was really cool. She got to show Adi the ropes of the pool...basically she dragged her around wherever she went. :)While outdoors we also sled. At first she was freaked out about it but now really enjoys it. It also doubles as a mini workout for mommy because she insists that I run.
She loves going outside so much that this is often what happens in the mornings...

Cooking with Daddy

Payton helped Daddy make chicken wings for the Super Bowl party we went to on Sunday night. I think she did a great job.

I am very proud of my hubby. He was voted 3rd best realtor in West Michigan by the Holland Sentinel Readers. Although in my book, he's #1!
