Vote Today!!!

http://www.hoekstraforgovernor.com/

Dear family and friends,

This year’s Gubernatorial election is vital to our state’s future. We are in some of the worst years in our state’s history and we find ourselves looking up at the rest of the nation. Our skilled and experienced workforce continues to struggle to find work while government continues to spend. With 5 candidates in the Republican primary (and two more in the Democrat primary) this is the most contested election in Michigan Gubernatorial history – now is the time to get involved, now is the time to make your choice, now is the time to cast your VOTE, now is the time to put the best candidate forward. If you haven’t voted in primaries before this is the year to get involved. In a race this tight your VOTE counts and your VOTE is needed!! There are major differences between the candidates in integrity, honesty, faith and experience. And your VOTE ensures that the candidate best suited to lead our state is elected. You need to get out to VOTE on Tuesday, August 3.

Our state can’t afford a Governor with loose morals and a history of scandals. Our state can’t afford a Governor that will need a learning curve and thinks he can do it on his own. Our state can’t afford a Governor that will put a battle with unions ahead of fixing our economy. We need a leader that will serve with integrity and character. We need a leader that has both the business and legislative experience to get to work on day one. We need a leader that will focus on cutting spending, cutting taxes and cutting bureaucracy to get our economy moving again. We need a leader that works for the people and promotes an environment where all can succeed. We need a leader with unquestioned morals, integrity and commitment to God and family. We need Pete Hoekstra.

Pete has proven leadership from his years as Vice President at Herman Miller and his years as a leader in the US Congress. Pete holds true to his beliefs and principals while working hard for the people he represents. Pete always, without fail, 100%, every time votes to protect life in all stages. Pete works tirelessly to defend the Constitution. Pete has represented the 2nd District well and now we need to put him to work for our whole state. We need Pete Hoekstra as Governor, and Pete needs your VOTE on August 3.

For the last 18 months Pete has campaigned all across our state to hear from us, the citizens of Michigan. He worked alongside us, he rode his bike through our towns, he answered our questions, he told us his thoughts, beliefs and visions for our state (click here for video). His opponents are hoping we will forget what we’ve learned and listen to their distortions of Pete’s views and record. Now is our chance to make a tangible difference for our state. Now is our chance to show his opponents that truth tells better than fiction (click here for video). Now is our chance to give our shared values a voice. Now is our chance to put a leader in office that will cut spending, cut taxes, cut bureaucracy and will get government out of the way so we can succeed. Michigan’s future begins with us, its people and now is our chance to begin that future – now is our chance to VOTE for Pete Hoekstra for Governor. VOTE for Pete on August 3!!!

But don’t take just my word for it…

Dr. James Dobson, Focus on the Family – “Pete has an unblemished record as a conservative member of Congress. He is a passionate advocate for human life. He supports traditional marriage. He is a proponent of educational choice and homeschooling. He voted against the recent health care legislation. In short, Congressman Hoekstra is a common sense, no nonsense conservative who consistently does the right thing. (See attached for invitation to join a conference call with Pete and Dr. Dobson on Monday night, 6:20-7:20)

David Barton, constitutional expert and founder of WallBuilders – “Pete Hoekstra is a man of singular wisdom and integrity. He is a strong advocate for the family, for life, for limited government and for maintaining personal freedoms”

Gary Bauer, Campaign for Working Families, former President of Family Research Council – “Your tireless efforts in support of pro-family, pro-life and pro-free enterprise policies are greatly valued by CWF and all of our members. I'm proud to stand with you! With the great state of Michigan suffering so much after years of liberal tax and spend policies, the same liberal policies now failing so dramatically in Washington, I can think of no one better to lead Michigan into recovery. I am certain that under your leadership in Lansing, the rest of the country will soon be reading about the 'Michigan Miracle."

Mitt Romney, former Governor of Massachusetts and Presidential Candidate – "For too long, Michigan has suffered with high unemployment and job loss. It is critical that we elect pro-growth conservative leaders who will keep taxes low, cut wasteful spending and create jobs. Pete Hoekstra has the capability and the right policies to get Michigan's economy moving again."

Michigan Teamsters - "As governor, we know that he will continue the fight to get government out of the way to create jobs for the hardworking men and women of our state and lead Michigan out of this recession. While we don't always agree on everything, Pete understands how important it is to bring everyone to the table when solving problems. We need a leader like Pete Hoekstra who will consistently keep the thoughts of working families at the top of his consideration. The Teamsters are proud to stand with Pete in his run for governor of Michigan."
