2 Months

To Our Happy Boy -

You are two months old and getting to be such a big boy. You are so happy and love to chat in the morning. Even as I write this you are talking to you play mat star. The play mat is your favorite toy right now and you have mastered how to kick the side to make the star play music. I catch you watching Payton on a regular bases and can tell you want to join in the fun. That day will come soon enough buddy...hang in there.
You are my cuddlier. We snuggle all the time and I love it. Even though maybe I should be cleaning the house or doing laundry I would not give up snuggle time for any thing.
You are still wearing 3 month clothing & in size 1 diapers. You eat about every 3 hours and have begun to sleep through the night around the 8 week mark. I still have you next to me in the bassinet upstairs...I'm having a hard time thinking about putting you in your crib, although you have slept there a few nights.

We were told yesterday that you do have a slight heart murmur. You had this when you were born but they did not hear it at your 4 day or 2 week appointment. However it was very obvious yesterday so we were sent over to the hospital for x-rays and will see a pediatric cardiologist on the 2nd of December. Your doctor did not seem too concerned due to your good eating, weight gain & over all color. He just wants to have it checked to be safe. This is a common thing but it is still a little nerve racking for mommy & daddy. We pray it heals itself and fast.

New Member of the Family

Very exciting news!
Come Feburary 26th of 2011 I will have a new brother-in-law and Heather will be Mrs. Heather Alferink!!
On the 22nd of October Mark proposed to Heather via a pumpkin. He put the ring inside a pumpkin so she would find it while attempting to carve it. How cute right?! She was so excited she almost put the ring on herself...crazy girl.
So anyway, I am very excited I will soon be able to call him brother.

1st Hair Cut

I finally broke down and got Payton's hair cut. It is one of those things that I have been putting off because I felt like it was such a 'big girl' thing and I am in denial about her getting so big. :)

I took her to my friend Nicole last night and we just got a little trim. She was not about to sit on the chair by herself and threw a fit when I tried to put her there. So on my lap it was. After that she did really well. Was very sour faced the whole time but at least there was no screaming.
It turned out really cute.

Into the Wild

Call me a dork but I really do like Halloween and getting the kiddos all dressed up. They are always so cute. Payton was not thrilled about her costume this year but after seeing her cousins and Adi dressed up she got used to the idea. The great part about this year was we were able to get together with some of our good friends. All of our kids are close to the same age and were all dressed as jungle animals. I have to say they were all super adorable. Payton even got to go trick or treating for the first time. She really like getting all that candy.
