Update from the Beach

We are having a great time in Fort Myers with the family. Payton really loves the beach and it has been a lot of fun watching her discover and explore new things.

Planes & Easter Eggs

Well, the plane ride to Florida went good, not great, but good. I really was hoping Payton would sleep most of the flight but of course that didn't happen. She slept for about 45 min and then was awake the rest of the trip. But she did good for being a very active 19 month old who has very little 'sit' in her. Cousin Ava was an extremely big help. She was able to keep P entertained for most of the flight.
On Another note...Happy Easter! We had a beautiful Easter day here. Sunshine, swimming and the beach...ahhhh. It was great. In the evening right before family dinner we had our very own Easter egg hunt. Before we left I bought and filled eggs for all the kids (with the help of my mom...thanks mom!), then hide them all over the front lawn of the condo. The kids had a lot of fun finding and opening them all. Payton got really into it by the end and after she had found all of hers she said to me, 'More?'. So we hide some of hers over again which she really liked.

16 Weeks and Growing

Had my 16 week appointment today. Everything looks and sounds great.
In my gut I feel like baby is a boy but if the heart rate trend is true it would seem we are having a little girl (158). But I guess we will all find out in September. :)
These are for those of you who are like me and like to see the growing belly pictures.

Bedtime Battles

I write this as I listen to my daughter scream for about the 10th night in a row after putting her to bed. What used to be a 15 minute process (Teeth brushing & book reading included) has turned into about 45, which I am not willing to deal with. The other night I let her cry for an hour...an HOUR! Torture for me, torture! I thought if I let her cry it out one night the battle would be over and I would win but even after an hour I still had to go up there and snuggle with her to make her fall asleep. She is winning and she knows it.
So anyone have any good suggestions to break this bad, fast growing habit?!
Help!

Dinner & A Murder

"Don Wannabe and his wife, Madam MeMe, are hosting
the event of the season. The Grand Opening of the
Four Deuces speakeasy is to take place tomorrow
night. It will be an exciting night for all!
An inside source has confirmed that the crème de la
crème of “The Family” will be attending this
extravagant event. We expect stringent security
measures to be in place at such a large event. Orders
are that no packing of heat is allowed.
New York Capo, 'Toto' Tequila, is rumored to be in
town. Could the Boss of Bosses be attending the Grand Opening? Everyone is wondering what occasion
would warrant such a visit."

The Gangster Grapevine
Don “Big Jim” Ravioli has stated that he has an important announcement to make
during the Grand Opening of The Four Deuces.
Rebecca Ravioli has been telling people that she is going to marry Rhett Bumbler.
We have our doubts that Big Jim would allow this marriage.
Last week, Don “Big Jim” Ravioli married 19-year-old singer, Carrie Crooner. Big
Jim’s ex-wife, Vicky, did not seem to grieve much over their divorce. We have
heard she received a big divorce settlement and that she now has a secret beau.

Feels like Spring

With the weather being as nice as it was over the weekend we were able to spend sometime outside with the fam. I am so happy to get outside and not freeze but getting to hang out with the family is probably my favorite thing. It is one of Payton's favorite things too she lights up when she is with her big cousins.

18 Months & 12 Weeks

Here is the update on my babies...that is strange to say. :)
Payton had her 18 month doctors appointment on Monday. She is a happy, healthy little girl. Here are her stats.
Height: 33 Inches - 90th Percentile (She comes by that naturally thanks to the Genzink family & the Lamberts family)
Weight: 26 lb even - between the 50th & 75th percentile.
Then on Tuesday my friend Kylie was kind enough to take some super cute pictures of my sweet angel. After seeing the pics she took of her son Griffin, I asked if she would be willing to take some of P. and she said yes.
Thanks so much Kylie! They turned out really cute.
Here is a preview...

I also had my 12 week appointment yesterday. Everything is going great. Baby is getting bigger...therefore so am I :)...and his/her heartbeat is strong at 152. Right in the middle of course giving no indication of gender. Go figure.
